Wastefull Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to the idea that no spent resource needs to be regarded as wasted. We take a complex systems approach to the analysis of domestic and commercial waste management strategies, with a primary focus on biological (fungal, bacterial, and entomological) strategies to address waste recycling and reuse.
We are dedicated to research and education in the field of waste management. We investigate innovative and effective ways to reduce waste, recycle materials, and reuse resources. Our goal is to create a sustainable future where people act as responsible stewards of biodiversity, while supporting the health and happiness of all human beings.
Our approach is to first assume that every human-originated consumable can be successfully recycled, regardless of profit margin, and we explore these options to exhaustion. When barriers such as technical or economic limitations arise, they are thoroughly documented and shared with the public with the goal of someday pushing past these barriers.
As a non-profit, we are committed to making our research and educational resources available to everyone. We strive to ensure that our findings are accessible and applicable to a wide range of audiences, from policy makers to individuals looking to reduce their own waste.
